RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Lake County State's Attorney's Office has been awarded funding for our Highland Park victim assistance program by the Victim of Crime Act for the time period of October 1, 2024 through March 31, 2025 in the amount of $117,791; and
WHEREAS, the Lake County State's Attorney's Office will use this funding to implement its Victim Assistance Program through various contractual services and miscellaneous supplies; and
WHEREAS, the VOCA Highland Park Victim Assistance Grant is in the amount of $117,791 and it is necessary to emergency appropriate this amount; and
WHEREAS, the State's Attorney's Office recommends that the Chairman of the County Board, the State's Attorney and the Treasurer be authorized to execute the necessary documents to accept and execute the grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the grant awarded to the Lake County State's Attorney's Office by VOCA is hereby accepted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an emergency appropriation of $117,791 is hereby authorized for the VOCA Highland Park Victim Assistance Grant in expenditure and revenue accounts as determined by the attached budget; and
