Body
WHEREAS, Stearns School Road (County Highway 74) is a designated route on the county highway system; and

WHEREAS, the State of Illinois proposes to improve the intersection of US Rte. 41 and Stearns School road by modernization of the existing traffic control signals; and

WHEREAS, the State of Illinois will utilize Federal Highway funding for 90% of this improvement; and

WHEREAS, the county portion of said improvement is for the local share of its leg of the intersection; and

WHEREAS, the State of Illinois and Lake County are desirous on entering into an agreement for said improvement; a draft copy of which is attached hereto.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this County Board of Lake County that the Chair of the County Board, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County are authorized and they are directed to execute on behalf of Lake County an agreement for the improvement to the traffic control signals at the intersection of Stearns School Road and US Route 41.
