WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 5-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, proposals were called for by publication for Professional Audit Services for Lake County; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, Request for Proposals were extended to 39 vendors; and
WHEREAS, sealed proposals were received from seven vendors and opened in the County Building, Waukegan, Illinois, on Friday August 17, 2012, at 2:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, based on the criteria set forth in the Request for Proposals, an ad hoc committee selected Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP, Chicago, IL, to be in the best interest of Lake County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP, Chicago, IL, in the annual amount of $184,900, for Professional Audit Services for Lake County, charging the costs to account # 101-1000010-71110-000-000-000-00000, for a two-year contract plus renewal options.
