• Annually, Lake County develops a list of legislative priorities that are submitted to our State and Federal Legislators.
• The County’s 2026 Legislative Agenda includes items for sponsorship, items to support, and items to oppose during the upcoming sessions. The Agenda also includes topics of importance for Lake County.
• Items were solicited from departments heads and elected officials. All items were reviewed and discussed by the County’s lobbyists and the Legislative Committee.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Lake County annually develops a list of legislative priorities for submission to legislators representing Lake County; and
WHEREAS, the County’s 2026 Legislative Agenda includes items to support, oppose, or sponsor, that have a positive impact on Lake County or its residents; and
WHEREAS, all agenda items have been submitted to the Legislative Committee by department heads or elected officials for discussion and inclusion; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Agenda identifies items to support, oppose, sponsor, and items of interest to Lake County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Fiscal Year 2026 Legislative Agenda be approved.
