Staff Summary

•                     Stearns School Road Bridge Deck Resurfacing: Supplemental Appropriation

•                     Construction costs increased due to protective shielding to prevent items being dropped onto I-94 as the extent of deck repairs has changed.                                                                                                

•                     This supplemental appropriation of $100,000 from the County Bridge Tax fund is needed to cover change order No. 1.

Body

                     WHEREAS, this County Board of Lake County, Illinois by prior resolution appropriated $325,000 of County Bridge Tax funds for the bridge deck resurfacing of Stearns School Road (C.H. 77) over I-94 and designated Section 07-00236-02-BR; and

                     WHEREAS, a supplemental appropriation of funds is deemed necessary for the above said improvement; and

                     NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that there is hereby appropriated $100,000 of County Bridge Tax Funds for the resurfacing of the Stearns School Road Bridge deck over I-94 and designated Section 07-00236-02-BR.
