Staff Summary

•                     This agreement is a continuation of a 2009 local cooperative funding arrangement between SMC and the Villages of Lincolnshire and Riverwoods.

•                     In a continued effort to increase our level of flood response and improve our flood preparation capabilities in Lake County, the program includes the ongoing operation, maintenance, and data reporting for the streamflow gauge on the Des Plaines River at Route 22 near Lincolnshire, IL.

•                     SMC is the primary local funding partner with the United States Geological Survey (USGS), and the Villages of Lincolnshire and Riverwoods reimburse SMC. USGS does not contribute any funding for this stream gauge, and the local government contributions have been shared equally since 2020.

•                     The total Village of Riverwoods and Village of Lincolnshire contributions per year through September 30, 2026, are detailed in the IGA.
