Report on the upcoming CLCJAWA rate revision and potential implementation for FY2013 - 2014.
Staff Summary
· The CLCJAWA Board of Directors reduced the CLCJAWA water rate, effective, May 1, 2013, from $2.65 per 1,000 gallons to $2.56 per 1,000 gallons ($0.09, 3.4% reduction).
· Based on CLCJAWA's Multi-Year Financial Plan, the rate is projected to be increased by $0.12, from $2.56 per 1,000 gallons to $2.68 per 1,000 gallons on May 1, 2014.
· Based on these rate changes proposed by CLCJAWA, the County has two options regarding our Lake County rate: 1) lower our rate in 2013 and raise it in 2014, or 2) retain the current rate in 2013 and 2014.
· Committee direction is requested.
