WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 4-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication to Provide and Install a Replacement Boiler Heating Plant for the Belvidere Medical Building, Waukegan, IL; and
WHEREAS, Invitation for Bids were extended to 12 contractors; and
WHEREAS, Sealed bids were received and opened at 2:00 p.m. on March 10, 2009; from 12 contractors; and
WHEREAS, Air Con Refrigeration & Heating, Inc. is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder at $589,900, the other bidders submitted bids ranging in the amounts of $598,900 to $670,200.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Air Con Refrigeration & Heating, Inc., Waukegan, IL in the amount estimated not to exceed $589,900 charging account, 101-1103265-82020-000-000-000-11200.
