R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Grass Lake Road (County Highway 18) and North Avenue (County Highway 3) are designated routes on the county highway system; and
WHEREAS, the free flow of traffic at the intersections of Illinois Route 83 and Grass Lake Road and IL Rte. 83 and North Avenue is beneficial to the safety and welfare of the State of Illinois and the County as a whole; and
WHEREAS State of Illinois by and through its Department of Transportation purposes to improve Illinois Route 83 by widening and resurfacing from the Wisconsin state line southerly to north of Petite Lake Road; and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois and Lake County believe it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if the intersections of Illinois Route 83 and Grass Lake Road and Illinois Route 83 and North Avenue could be improved by the modernization of the existing traffic control signals along with PASSAGE interconnect; and
