WHEREAS, the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority recently announced that the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit was awarded $11,962 in Juvenile Accountability Block Grant funds to continue the juvenile probation pre-employment program that began in late 2009; and
WHEREAS, the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit will provide a 10% match of $1,329 from the Probation Services Fee Fund; and
WHEREAS, the funding will be used to purchase computers, computer services, equipment and supplies to better serve the youth who participate in the program; and
WHEREAS, the County Board must authorize the execution of a program agreement and an emergency appropriation of $13,291 to accept this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the County Board Chairman is authorized to execute Program Agreement #507803 with the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority and an emergency appropriation of $13,291 for the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Juvenile Pre-Employment Program is hereby ...
