RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Deerfield Road, County Highway 11, is a designated route on the county highway system; and

WHEREAS, Lake County (County) and the Tollway believe it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the traveling public if the Deerfield Road bridge over I-94/I-294 could be rehabilitated to extend its useful service life; and

WHEREAS, in accordance with an existing agreement, the Tollway is responsible for maintenance of the bridge structure below the bridge deck and the County is responsible for maintenance of the bridge deck and elements above the deck; and

WHEREAS, the Tollway will be the lead agency for the project; and

WHEREAS, the County will reimburse the Tollway for its respective share of the engineering and construction costs, currently estimated to be $1,545,000; and
