Staff Summary
* 2014 Landscape Maintenance: Appropriation.
* The County has recently planted many trees and shrubs on various projects on the County highway system that require annual maintenance and care.
* This maintenance will be done by a contractor, ILT Vignocchi, Inc., Wauconda, Illinois.
* This is the final year of a four year contract extension.
* Before a contract renewal can occur, an appropriation of $80,000 of Matching Tax funds is needed.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Rollins Road, County Highway 31, Washington Street, County Highway 45, Fairfield Road, County Highway 49, Gilmer Road, County Highway 26, and Deerfield Road, County Highway 11, are designated routes on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, in recent years, improvements have been completed on portions of said highways including the planting of trees and shrubs, specifically at:
* Rollins Road Extension, US Route 45 to IL Route 142
* Washington Street, US Route 45 to Hunt Club Road
* Fairfield Road at Gilmer Road Interchange
* Deerfield Road Bike Path at the Tollway; and
WHEREAS it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if the trees and shrubs along these County highways are properly maintained; and
WHEREAS, the maintenance of the trees and shrubs will be completed by a contractor, ILT Vignocchi, Inc., Wauconda, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, this is the final year of a four year contract extension.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $80,000 of Matching Tax funds for the maintenance of the trees and shrubs along portions of Rollins Road, Washington Street, Fairfield Road, Gilmer Road and Deerfield Road and miscellaneous other County highways, and designated as Section 14-000...
