RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Chair of the County Board, in conjunction with the Human Resources Department, is conducting a search to fill the position of County Administrator, that will be vacated mid-February 2024; and
WHEREAS, the Chair has determined that an Ad Hoc Committee should be established to participate in the recruitment process; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section V of the County Board Rules of Order and Operational Procedures, appointments to the Ad Hoc Committee shall be recommended by the County Board Chair with the approval of a majority of the Board Members present; and
WHEREAS, Chair Hart hereby recommends that an Ad Hoc Committee for the recruitment of a new County Administrator be established; and
WHEREAS, the first meeting of the Ad Hoc Committee for County Administrator Recruitment will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2023.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an Ad Hoc Committee for the recruitment of a new County Administrator is hereby established with the following members:
Sandy Hart, County Board Chair
Mary Ross Cunningham, County Board Vice-Chair
Jennifer Clark, County Board Member
Paul Frank, County Board Member
Kevin Hunter, County Board Member
Linda Pedersen, County Board Member
Jessica Vealitzek, County Board Member
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said Ad Hoc Committee shall assist the Chair of the Board during the recruitment process and will cease to function upon the adoption of a resolution appointing a new County Administrator.
