Staff Summary
· In July the Lake County Board created the Board of Review Advisory Group to bring together the various constituencies that participate in the assessment appeal process.
· This effort would provide another opportunity for stakeholders to provide input into the assessment appeal process.
· The group will commence with meetings this summer and complete their work with the Board of Review next spring.
· This resolution appoints Cynthia M. Alexander, 1044 McAlister Avenue, North Chicago, IL to the Lake County Board of Review Advisory Group.

WHEREAS, an Ordinance establishing and appointing members to the Lake County Board of Review Advisory Group was approved on July 14, 2009; and
WHEREAS, the Lake County Board and the Lake County Board of Review seek public input regarding the property assessment appeal process; and
WHEREAS, both the Lake County Board and the Lake County Board of Review have a commitment to a fair, expeditious and unbiased assessment appeal process; and
WHEREAS, the Lake County Board of Review Advisory Group is comprised of six members of the public-at-large, two practitioners that represent Lake County taxpayers in assessment appeal actions; two Lake County Board members and two representatives from the Lake County Township Assessors Association; and
WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy in the public-at-large, your Chairman requests that this County Board confirm the appointment of Cynthia M. Alexander as a Member of the Lake County Board of Review Advisory Group.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the appointment of Cynthia Alexander be, and the same is hereby confirmed.
