Committee action to modify the parking agreement with the City of Waukegan.
Staff Summary
• In November 2004 the Lake County Board approved a parking agreement with the City of Waukegan to provide secure off-street parking for Lake County jurors and personnel.
• Lake County currently pays $45 per space per month with an annual spend of $54,000 for 100 parking spaces. The County also receives an additional 50 spaces per month from the City of Waukegan at no charge.
• The County has not had a price increase since 2005.
• The changes are germane to the original contract as signed, in the best interests of the County and authorized by law.
• In accordance with Article 8, section 101 (1) of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, it is hereby requested that the Chair of the Board be authorized to enter into a Contract modification in the total estimated amount of $60,000 for Year 1 and $65,000 for Year 2 of the agreement.
