· 2013 Resurfacing of Darrell Road, Hart Road and Monaville Road: Consultant Agreement and Appropriation.
· Consulting engineering services will be utilized to prepare plans, specifications, and estimates of costs for these roadway resurfacings for a 2013 letting.
· The project will consist of Darrell Road, from Roberts Road to Illinois Route 176; Hart Road, from Lake Cook Road to 1500’ South of US 14; and Monaville Road, from Cedar Lake Road to 1500’ west of Illinois Route 83.
· The selected, and recommended, consultant is Bollinger, Lach & Associates, Inc., Itasca, Illinois, at a maximum cost of services of $177,277.80.
· This resolution also appropriates $215,000 of ¼% Sales Tax for Transportation and Public Safety funds for these engineering services.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Darrell Road, County Highway 44, Hart Road, County Highway 80, and Monaville Road, County Highway 55, are designated routes on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Darrell Road, Hart Road and Monaville Road could be resurfaced; and
WHEREAS, it is recommended that a consulting engineering firm be employed to provide Phase II design engineering services; and
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, has selected a professional engineering services firm in accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act (50 ILCS 510/1 et. seq.); and
