Presentation on solar power in Lake County facility operations.

 

Staff Summary

•                     On September 8, 2020, the Lake County Board approved a resolution committing Lake County government operations to the goal of attaining net zero greenhouse gas emissions from its 2014-2017 baseline.

•                     In 2019, the Lake County Board approved a Master Power Purchase Agreement to have solar installations on County facilities.

•                     As of August 2023, no solar installations have become operational on County facilities.

•                     Staff have prepared an informational presentation on the current status of solar projects in Lake County, with options moving forward to install solar arrays and use solar power in Lake County operations and promote local solar development.
