Report on the draft admissions agreements with the Central Lake County Joint Action Water Agency (CLCJAWA) for expansion of Lake Michigan water service to SSA #16.

Staff Summary

·      The County, the Village of Lake Villa, and the Village of Lindenhurst (collectively, the "North Group") are working jointly to discuss the terms of membership in the CLCJAWA for delivery of Lake Michigan water to the SSA area.

·      Several documents are necessary to effectuate an expansion of facilities and to outline terms under which new members, or member areas, are added to the existing water agency.

·      The North Group is actively engaged in discussing several key governing documents and principles with CLCJAWA, including: 1) CLCJAWA Agency Agreement, 2) Water Purchase and Sale Agreement, and 3) By-Laws.

·      A review of the draft agreements will be presented for Committee discussion and input.
