Karyn was recently recognized by vaccine manufacturer Merck for her “commitment to improving public health through vaccination during National Immunization Awareness Month”. In honor of this Vaccination Service Award, Merck & Co., Inc. will make a charitable donation of $100.00 to the CDC Foundation. Karyn/LCHD/CHC was the only Merck nomination in this region.
Karyn has also been recognized in recent months by Sanofi Pasteur, another vaccine manufacturer, for her “dedication to protecting human life through immunization”. It also names Lake County Health Department.
Finally, Glen Flora Elementary School, Waukegan, gave Karyn a Certificate of Appreciation for being a “Community Partner” representing the Health Department.
We congratulate Karyn for her excellent work and for representing us as well.
