RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Winchester Road, County Highway 69, is a designated route on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial for the safety and welfare of the traveling public if Winchester Road at Illinois Route 83 could be realigned with the installation of a traffic signal; and
WHEREAS, the Lake County Board, at its May 10, 2022 meeting, appropriated $60,000 of ¼% Sales Tax for Transportation funds for the acquisition of right-of-way necessary to construct the improvements; and
WHEREAS, the original appropriation cost was based upon independent property appraisals and reports prepared for each impacted property; and
WHEREAS, based on actual settlement amounts, a supplemental appropriation of funds is required to acquire the remaining properties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that there is hereby appropriated a supplemental amount of $120,000 of ¼% Sales Tax for Transportation funds for right-of-way costs associated with the improvements to the intersection of Winchester Road at Illinois Route 83, and designated as Section 16-00170-13-CH.
