Resolution commending Ryan McCormack for his years of service to the Sheriff’s Department Reserve Deputy Unit.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Ryan McCormack joined the Sheriff’s Department Reserve Deputy Unit in 2001; and
WHEREAS, Ryan McCormack was promoted to Sergeant in 2004, appointed Deputy Chief in 2005, and was officially promoted to Lieutenant on March 29, 2007, and
WHEREAS, men and women volunteer as Reserve Deputies out of a sense of community responsibility, and over the course of his service, Ryan McCormack contributed 4,020 hours to the county; and
WHEREAS, volunteers must volunteer at least 140 hours of service to the citizens of Lake County each year; Ryan McCormack has consistently volunteered well over 400 hours each year since he joined the Reserve Deputy Unit; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure with the Reserve Deputy Unit, Ryan McCormack served as Reserve Deputy Training Officer from Fall 2004 to Spring 2005, Member of the Reserve Deputy Unit Honor Guard from 2007-2010, and as Secretary and Vice President of the Reserve Deputy Association; and
WHEREAS, Ryan McCormack was awarded the 2003 Reserve Deputy of the Year, Command Officer of the Year for 2004, 2005, and 2006, Captain James F. Crockett Distinguished Service Award in 2004 and Sheriff’s Commendation Ribbon in 2004.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois that we do in unison recognize and commend Ryan McCormack for nine years of valuable service the Lake County Sheriff=s Reserve Deputy Unit and the residents of Lake County, and we do hereby wish him the best as he retires from service to the Reserve Deputy Unit.
