* Lynn Montei and Associates of Elmhurst, Illinois, is a consultant organization that is noted for its efforts in developing strategic and business plans for governments through their consultation and facilitation process.
* Lynn Montei and Associates was originally retained by the Human Resources Department in 2013 to develop a strategic plan and has, subsequently, been retained in fiscal year (FY) 2014 by Finance and Administrative Services, County Administrator's Office and the Department of Public Works to provide similar consulting and facilitation services.
* Purchasing has identified requests with Lynn Montei and Associates for FY2014 estimated at $63,100 over four separate engagements with current spend for FY2014 $33,987.50.
* There is a need to ratify the contract of $38,000 to fully execute the current contract for services for Public Works.
* The contract authorizes a professional services agreement that will cost an estimated amount of $38,000 to provide consulting and facilitation services for Public Works.
* Pursuant to the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance any additional contracts awarded in FY2014 will be subject to review through either Sections 5-101 or 6-102 and presented to the County Board for necessary approval.
