R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, 21st Street (County Highway 67), east of Delany Road (County Highway 22) is a designated route on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, Lake County believes it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if 21st Street from Delany Road westerly to Kilbourne Road (County Highway 37), currently within the corporate limits of the Village of Wadsworth, as depicted on the map in Exhibit A attached hereto, could be improved; and
WHEREAS, federal Lake County Council of Mayors funding is designated for the eventual improvement of this stretch of highway; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with 605 ILCS 5/5-106 the Lake County Board may, by resolution approved by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), designate 21st Street from Delany Road westerly to Kilbourne Road as a municipal extension of County Highway 67, thereby providing for the orderly planning and design of a future improvement of said highway; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY this Lake County Board that 21st Street from Delany Road west to Kilbourne Road, as depicted on the map in Exhibit A, is hereby designated as a municipal extension of County Highway 67.
