· On February 8, 2011 the County Board considered a series of recommended UDO text amendments relating to small and large wind energy facilities.
· The County Board voted (17-5) to eliminate proposed large wind energy regulations and to delay consideration of small wind energy regulations until March 15, 2011, providing the County sufficient time to publish the public hearing notice in accordance with statutory requirements.
Body
WHEREAS, on March 16, 2010, this County Board adopted a Resolution directing the Zoning Board of Appeals to conduct a public hearing to consider certain amendments to the text of the Lake County Unified Development Ordinance relating to small and large wind energy facility regulations for unincorporated Lake County; and
WHEREAS, a review and recommendation on these proposed amendments was made by the Regional Planning Commission, the Zoning Board of Appeals (following a public hearing process) and the Planning, Building and Zoning Committee; and
WHEREAS, on February 8, 2011, the County Board considered the recommended UDO text amendments relating to small and large wind energy facilities, voted (17-5) to eliminate the proposed large wind energy regulations and voted to delay action on small wind energy facility regulations until its March meeting immediately following a required public hearing; and
WHEREAS, at its March 15, 2011 meeting, the County Board shall conduct a public hearing and then act on the attached “Amended Exhibit B”, relating to small wind energy facility regulation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lake County Board that the amendments contained in “Amended Exhibit B”, attached hereto and hereby made a part of this Resolution, be hereby adopted and made a part of the Lake County Unified Development Ordinance; and
