R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Arlington Heights Road (County Highway 79) and Buffalo Grove Road (County Highway 16) are designated routes on the county highway system; and
WHEREAS, in order to provide for the free flow of traffic and ensure the safety of the motoring public it is necessary to grind the roadway surfaces of Arlington Heights Road from Illinois Route 83 to Lake Cook Road and also Buffalo Grove Road from Deerfield Parkway to IL Rte. 83; and
WHEREAS, in conjunction with the above-said pavement grinding, an additional through-lane will be added to Buffalo Grove Road from Deerfield Parkway to IL Rte. 83; and
WHEREAS, plans, specifications and estimates of costs for this improvement have been completed and this improvement is now ready to proceed to contract letting; and
WHEREAS, before a construction letting can be held an appropriation of funds is needed.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that there is hereby appropriated $3,070,000 of the ¼% Sales Tax for Transportation and Public Safety funds for the pavement grinding of Arlington Heights Road from Illinois Route 83 to Lake Cook Road and the pavement grinding of Buffalo Grove Ro...
