Staff Summary
· An annual adjustment in the sewer rate and connection fee rate for wastewater services provided by the North Shore Sanitary District has been received.
· The North Shore Sanitary District has submitted documentation in support of a property component increase which results in a user fee increase of $0.28 per 1000 gallons of sanitary sewer usage and a connection fee increase of $22 per P.E. or $88 per single family home.
· This ordinance will adjust the user fees and connection fee (NSSD areas only) for retail sewer service to all County customers effective November 1, 2009.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN PRIOR RATE ORDINANCES FOR
THE USE AND SERVICE OF CERTAIN WATERWORKS AND SEWERAGE
SYSTEMS OF THE COUNTY OF LAKE IN THE STATE OF ILLINOIS
BE IT ORDAINED by this County Board of Lake County, State of Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1. The rates, fees and charges for the use and service of certain Waterworks and Sewerage Systems of the County of Lake, billed on a quarterly or bimonthly basis, shall be established as follows:
(a.)Metered water, 3000 gallons per month minimum:
(1.) General Service Areas $3.14 per 1,000 gallons
(2.) CLCJAWA Service Areas $5.46 per 1,000 gallons
(b.) Metered sewer, 3000 gallons per month minimum:
(1.) General Service Areas $4.33 per 1,000 gallons
(Northeast, Southeast, South Central, Central, Northwest)
(2.) Arbor Vista $5.39 per 1,000 gallons
(3.) Northeast Central* $4.67 per 1,000 gallons
(c.) Un-metered water, per single family residence or equivalent:
(1.) Arden Shores $32.45 per month
(2.) Countryside Lake $28.66 per month
(3.) Forest Lake $18.39 per month
(4.) Oak Terrace $16.22 per month
(d.) Un-metered sewer, per single family residence or equivalent:
(1.) General Service Areas $34.64 per month
