• This resolution adopts the 2009 Strategic Plan and directs the county Administrator to oversee its implementation.
Body
WHEREAS, the Lake County Board held six Community Forums in 2008 to obtain public input on the future direction of Lake County.
WHEREAS, the County Board conducted strategic planning sessions in January and February 2009 to develop a Mission, Vision, and Value Statements, along with Strategic Goals, strategic statements to support those goals, and long-term strategies to achieve those goals.
WHEREAS, the County Board conducted follow up discussions to refine and finalize the proposed Strategic Plan in August 2008; and
WHEREAS, the County Board has identified five Strategic Goals related to: Transportation, Livability and Economic Opportunities, Sustainable Environment, Healthy and Resilient Communities, and Public Safety; and
WHEREAS, the County Board now wishes to formally adopt the attached 2009 Strategic Plan for Lake County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake county, Illinois, that the 2009 Strategic Plan for Lake County, a copy of which is attached hereto and made part hereof, is hereby adopted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Administrator is hereby directed to oversee the implementation of the 2009 Strategic Plan and to make periodic status reports back to the County Board.
