Resolution amending the Housing and Community Development Commission (HCDC) Bylaws.
Staff Summary
• The Lake County HCDC was formed by the Lake County Board in 1976 to “accomplish the purpose of the (federal) Housing and Community Development Act.”
• Proposed HCDC bylaw changes will restructure the Advisory and Recommendation Committees (ARCs) by reducing the number of ARCs from four to three: Affordable Housing ARC, Behavioral Health ARC, and Public Services ARC.
• The proposed amendments have been reviewed by the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Housing and Community Development Commission (HCDC) bylaws detail the composition and duties of the HCDC; and
WHEREAS, the HCDC has reviewed and recommended the approval of changes to the by-laws that include reducing the number of Advisory and Recommendation Committees (ARCs) from four to three; and
WHEREAS, the Public Improvement ARC will be removed and the three remaining ARCs will be the Affordable Housing ARC, Behavioral Health ARC, and Public Services ARC.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the HCDC Bylaws as amended, attached hereto, are hereby adopted for use by the HCDC.
