R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, pursuant to authority granted by this Board of Lake County, the County Engineer heretofore called for sealed bids by publication for the repair and resurfacing of the bridge deck of Pulaski Drive (County Highway 13) over US Rte. 41 and designated as Section 08-00196-06-BR; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication calling for said bids, sealed bids were received and opened on June 30, 2009, at 10:00 a.m., at the Lake County Division of Transportation in Libertyville, Illinois, a tabulation of said bids being as follows:
Alliance Contractors, Inc., Woodstock, IL $306,779.42
Lorig Construction Co., Des Plaines, IL $374,136.00
WHEREAS, the Public Works and Transportation Committee, the County Engineer, and the Purchasing Agent have examined each bid, and it appears that the lowest responsible bidder is Alliance Contractors, Inc., Woodstock, Illinois their bid being $306,779.42 based on estimated quantities and unit prices; and
WHEREAS, this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, by prior resolution at its meeting of June 16, 2009, appropriated $385,000 of County Bridge Tax funds for the improvement of the aforesaid section.
