Joint resolution authorizing an agreement with V3 Companies, Ltd., Woodridge, Illinois, for Phase III professional construction engineering services for the rehabilitation of the Pulaski Drive Bridge over United States Route 41 and the Union Pacific Railroad at a maximum cost of $504,165.78 and appropriating $605,000 of County Bridge Tax funds.

* The improvement consists of the removal and replacement of the existing bridge deck and will add new bike path and sidewalk.
* Lake County selects professional engineering firms in accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act, 50 ILCS 510/1 et. seq.
* The Lake County Division of Transportation's Consultant Selection Process has been approved by the Federal Highway Administration and the Illinois Department of Transportation, and the firm selected for this project was selected in accordance with this approved process.
* The selected firm has a satisfactory past relationship with the Lake County Division of Transportation.
* This project is included in the Transportation Improvement Program with construction starting in 2027 and designated as Section 25-00196-12-BR.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Pulaski Drive, County Highway 78, is a designated route on the county highway system; and
WHEREAS, Lake County believes it would be beneficial for the safety and welfare of the traveling public to rehabilitate the Pulaski Drive Bridge over United States Route 41 and Union Pacific Railroad including non-motorized improvements; and
WHEREAS, Phase III professional construction engineering services are required for these improvements; and
WHEREAS, it is recommended that a consultant engineering firm be employed to provide these services; and
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, has selected a professional engineering services firm in accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act, 50 ILCS 510/1 et. seq.; and
