Illinois Department of Public Health, Harm Reduction Community Linkages, Additional $70,000 - Kritz

Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center (LCHD/CHC) received two years of additional funding in the amount of $70,000 for the period September 1, 2019 - August 31, 2021. This will go to support capacity building for harm reduction programs within Lake County including increasing the number of individuals utilizing harm reduction services. $37,124 will be appropriated in the LCFY20 budget. The remaining balance will be budgeted in LCFY21. The appropriation is unbalanced as the majority of the grant dollars will be used to offset existing salary and fringe benefits.
Suggested Motion
To approve the additional funding of $70,000 from the Illinois Department of Public Health to support the Harm Reduction Community Linkages program.
