R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Washington Street (County Highway 45) is a designated route on the county highway system; and

WHEREAS, the Village of Grayslake owns and operates a bike path situated along the north side of Washington Street between IL Rte. 83 and Atkinson Road; and

WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 605, ILCS 5/5-701.3 et seq. county may provide for maintenance of bicycle paths along county highways; and

WHEREAS, the Village of Grayslake and Lake County desire to elevate 2-sections of said bike path in order to eliminate flooding of said bike path; and

WHEREAS, the improvements to said bike path will be of immediate benefit to the Village of Grayslake and Lake County as a whole; and

WHEREAS, the Village of Grayslake and Lake County desirous of entering into an agreement for the above-said improvement, a draft copy of which is attached hereto.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Chair of the County Board, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County, Illinois, are authorized, and they are directed to execute an agreement pertaining to the financing of the above-named improvement.
