RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Office of the Illinois Attorney General has approved the continuation of the State's Attorney's Violent Crime Victims Assistance Program, and $140,000 was awarded for the time period July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the grant funds of $140,000 for this program will fund the majority of the salary and benefits of two full-time Domestic Violence Victim Specialists.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Lake County State's Attorney's Violent Crime Victims Assistance Program with the Office of the Illinois Attorney General is hereby authorized; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an emergency appropriation of revenue and expenses in the amount of $140,000 is hereby authorized in the State's Attorney's approved Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 budget in accounts as determined by the attached spreadsheet.
