• The $28,259 in grant funding has not been previously appropriated because the grant resources were secured after the County’s adoption of the Fiscal Year 2023 budget.
• The grant award will be for the period July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024.
• If funding for the position and services end, and new funding is not secured, the position and services will be eliminated.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Lake County Community Development has received ESG from the Illinois Department of Human Services; and
WHEREAS, these dollars will be used to operate the HMIS and administer the ESG; and
WHEREAS, this grant amount totaling $28,259 has not been previously appropriated, having been awarded after adoption of the Fiscal Year 2023 budget; and
WHEREAS, the proposed appropriation will be offset by the above referenced items thereby not requiring the expenditure of local tax revenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $28,259 is hereby authorized in the Community Development budget as identified on the listing of expense and revenue budget modifications attached hereto and made part hereof.
