Staff Summary
* The Health Department received $184,167 in additional funding for the period of December 1, 2024, through November 30, 2025, which was not previously appropriated because the reimbursement rates were approved after the County's adoption of the Fiscal Year 2025 budget.
* This funding is to support the program for Medicaid enrolled youth under the age of 21 who have complex, high-risk behavioral health needs and require evidenced-informed intensive care coordination along with home and community-based services to supplement existing treatment interventions.
* If funding for the positions and services end, and new funding is not secured, the positions and services will be eliminated.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center has received an increase delivered by our Clinical Operations Unit; and
WHEREAS, these dollars will provide an increase in services to Lake County with no impact on local taxes; and
WHEREAS, this increase will be used for three new positions that will be eliminated if or when this funding is no longer available and no other funding source outside of property tax dollars has been identified; and
WHEREAS, the additional funding amount totaling $184,167 for the period of December 1, 2024 through November 30, 2025, has not been previously appropriated, having been approved after adoption of the Fiscal Year 2025 budget; and
WHEREAS, the proposed appropriation will be fully offset by the above referenced items thereby not requiring the expenditure of local tax revenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $184,167 is hereby authorized in the Health Department Fiscal Year 2...
