· Hart Road and Darrell Road are in need of resurfacing.
· These resurfacing improvements have been identified within the County's pavement management system, and are included in the 2013 highway improvement program.
· Before a project letting can be held, an appropriation of $2,625,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds is necessary.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Hart Road, County Highway 80, and Darrell Road, County Highway 44, are designated routes on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Hart Road, from Lake Cook Road to US Route 14, and Darrell Road, from Roberts Road to Illinois Route 176, could be resurfaced; and
WHEREAS, plans, specifications, and estimates of costs for this improvement have been completed, and this improvement is now ready to proceed to contract letting; and
WHEREAS, before a construction letting can be held, an appropriation of funds is needed.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $2,625,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for the resurfacing of Hart Road, from Lake Cook Road to US Route 14, and Darrell Road, from Roberts Road to Illinois Route 176, and designated as Section 12-00999-37-RS.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this appropriation be processed by the County Engineer for final approval of the Illinois Department of Transportation in accordance with the "Agreement of Understanding" between the Illinois Department of Transportation and Lake County, dated January 18, 2013.
