Joint resolution authorizing the execution of an agreement between Lake County and Pace Suburban Bus Division of the Regional Transportation Authority providing the terms and conditions by which Pace Suburban Bus Division of the Regional Transportation Authority will expand Bus Route 570, serving Gurnee, Fox Lake and the College of Lake County (CLC), and also provide an additional Pace circulator bus route serving the Round Lake Beach commercial retail district and designated as Section 09-00280-02-ES.
Staff Summary
· Lake County Northwest Circulator Route 570: Agreement
· Lake County has received ICE grant funding from the RTA for the expansion of the hours, days and the reduction of the headway of service on Pace Bus Route 570.
· The ICE grant funds will also be used for the expansion of the complimentary ADA service associated with Pace Route 570.
· Pace will fund the addition of a circulator bus route serving the Round Lake Beach commercial retail district.
· Pace Suburban Bus Division of the Regional Transportation Authority is the operator and coordinator of said bus routes.
· This resolution authorizes the execution of an agreement with Pace Suburban Bus Division of the Regional Transportation Authority for these additional services for a one year time duration.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, by prior resolution at its meeting of November 14, 2006, adopted a resolution in support of the Lake County Coordinated Transportation Services Committee (LCCTSC) goal to develop a borderless paratransit system service in Lake County to meet the needs of the mobility challenged population; and
WHEREAS, the LCCTSC has also incorporated the role of the now disbanded “Getting to Work” Ad Hoc Task Force dealing with the issue of how to connect workforce to area jobs by accessible transit service; and
