Staff Summary
· In September, 2009, the Lake County Board authorized the Purchasing Agent to negotiate a two-year contract with AT&T, Chicago, Illinois in the amount of $319,743.12 ($159,871.56 per year) for network communications services.
· The contract anticipated future requirements and contains a provision to add services at the same prices terms and conditions during the first thirteen (13) months of the twenty-four (24) month term.
· There is a need to issue Contract Modification #1 for additional T-1 service connections for disaster recovery.
· This change is germane to the original contract as signed, are in the best interests of the County and authorized by law.
· In accordance with Article 8, section 101 (1) of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, it is hereby requested that the Purchasing Agent be authorized to enter into Contract Modification #1.
· This contract modification will cost the County an estimated amount of $31,141.20 per year charged to accounts #101-1103065-82020-000-000-000-13310 and 101-1300020-71960-000-000-000-13310.
