WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 4-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication for Armored Car Services for Lake County; and
WHEREAS, the armored car transport services includes pick up and transport of cash from various Lake County locations; and
WHEREAS, invitations for bids were extended to six (6) vendors and sealed bids was received from three (3) vendors; and
WHEREAS, Garda Cash Logistics, of Broadview, IL, is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder in the total estimated annual amount of $39,172; other bids received ranged from $39,312.00 to $44,928.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to enter into a two-year contract with renewals for Armored Car Services, with Garda Cash Logistics, Broadview, IL, in the estimated annual amount of $39,172.00 charging to account #206-1440010-71970-000-000-000-00000.
