•                     Gages Lake Road, Rte. 45 to Hunt Club Road, and O’Plaine Road, Blackstone Road to Old Grand Avenue Resurfacing: Appropriation

•                     This resurfacing improvement has been identified within the county’s pavement management system and is included in the 2011 program.

•                     Favorable bidding on other projects allows this resurfacing to move forward.

•                     Before a letting can be held an appropriation of $2,371,000 of Matching Tax funds and $1,259,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds is necessary.

Body

                     WHEREAS, Gages Lake Road (County Highway 34) and O’Plaine Road (County Highway 38) are designated routes on the county highway system; and

                     WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Gages Lake Road, from US Rte. 45 to Hunt Club Road and O’Plaine Road from Blackstone Road to Old Grand Avenue could be resurfaced; and 

                     WHEREAS, plans, specifications and estimates of cost for this improvement have been completed and this improvement is now ready to proceed to contract letting.

                     WHEREAS, before a construction letting can be held, an appropriation of funds is needed.

                     NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that there is hereby appropriated $2,371,000 of Matching Tax funds and $1,259,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for the resurfacing of Gages Lake Road, from US Rte. 45 to Hunt Club Road and from Blackstone Road to Old Grand Avenue and designated as Section 08-00999-04-RS.
