This resolution also appropriates $1,150,000 of Matching Tax funds for the County’s share of this improvement and designated as Section 08-00999-01-RS.

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Fairfield Road (County Highway 49) from Illinois Route 176 to Old McHenry Road (County Highway 32); is a designated route on the county highway system; and

WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if the above-said county highway could be resurfaced; and

WHEREAS, the State of Illinois, through its Department of Transportation, has made available for this resurfacing improvement $1,144,163 of federal funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA); and

WHEREAS, all ARRA funding allocated to local agencies in the Chicago Region is being administered by the Chicago Region Metropolitan Planning Organization, CMAP and some additional ARRA funding may become available by the obligation deadline of September 2010; and
