· 2014 Motor Fuel Tax Fund, Patrol 1 Maintenance Materials: Appropriation.
· In order to perform necessary highway maintenance, the Division of Transportation must purchase Patrol 1 materials.
· Patrol 1 materials include various highway maintenance supplies such as paint, sign posts, shoulder aggregate, etc.
· An appropriation of $640,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds must be made prior to a letting being held.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, in order to maintain the condition of the pavements, shoulders, and rights-of-way of the designated routes on the County highway system, the Division of Transportation annually undertakes various maintenance activities that utilize miscellaneous highway materials; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of highway materials to support the planned maintenance activities for 2014 is $640,000.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $640,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for the miscellaneous highway materials needed for fiscal year 2014 to support various maintenance activities on various County highways, and designated as Section 14-00000-00-GM.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this appropriation be processed by the County Engineer for final approval of the Illinois Department of Transportation in accordance with the "Agreement of Understanding" between the Illinois Department of Transportation and Lake County, dated January 18, 2013.
