R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, LCDOT participated in the joint procurement process conducted by the State of Illinois, Department of Central Management Services, for the acquisition of ice control salt for the winter season of 2013-2014; and
WHEREAS, this County Board, at its meeting on March 12, 2013, approved an appropriation of $1,200,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for the 2013-2014 winter season ice control salt; and
WHEREAS, a supplemental amount of $1,000,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for the 2013-2014 winter season ice control salt is needed.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated a supplemental amount of $1,000,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for the acquisition of ice control salt for the winter season of 2013-2014, and designated as Section 14-00000-00-GM.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this appropriation be processed by the County Engineer for final approval of the Illinois Department of Transportation in accordance with the "Agreement of Understanding" between the Illinois Department of Transportation and Lake County, dated January 18, 2013.
