Staff Summary
* Lake County works in partnership with the Lake County Coalition for the Homeless to submit an annual application to HUD based on the funding recommendations of the Continuum of Care.
* Lake County received notice that it has been awarded $2,316,362 through the Continuum of Care Homeless Assistance Grants, including $42,776 for new projects.
* Community Development will administer $631,727 of the award (8 projects), the Health Department will administer $414,240 (3 projects), and the remaining amount of $1,270,395 (13 projects) will be administered directly by authorized agencies.
* This resolution authorizes the appropriation of the homeless assistance grant awards, execution of the necessary subrecipient agreements and appropriation of additional revenue for the ServicePoint Project.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development made available $1.8 billion through a nationwide competition for assistance to homeless individuals and families through its Continuum of Care Homeless Assistance Program; and
WHEREAS, Lake County received notification from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development awarding $2,316,362 through the 2014 Continuum of Care Homeless Assistance Program, $631,727 of which will be administered by Lake County, $414,240 administered by the Health Department, and the remaining amount, $1,270,395 will be administered directly by the respective agencies; and
WHEREAS, Lake County collects fees for additional reporting licenses and user licenses from agencies not required to use ServicePoint by HUD as consistent with the ServicePoint Agency Agreement.
