Joint resolution authorizing execution of the sixth amendment to Agreement for Retail Water and Sewer Service with the Village of Grayslake.
Staff Summary
· The Village of Grayslake has requested the County amend the existing Agreement for Retail Water and Sewer Service to include a parcel of land known as the Glunz property located within the Village limits along Washington Avenue just west of the College of Lake County.
· The County currently provides retail water and sewer services to various parcels within the Village and has amended the Agreement over time to add new parcels.
· The entire additional parcel is proposed to be developed with retail and commercial business for the Glunz Family Farm and Winery Cellars and only the existing single family residence on the north side of Washington would receive residential service.
· The initial phase of construction includes a 112 seat restaurant facility with a 270 seat banquet hall and 7,000 square foot warehouse.
· The proposed future phase of construction includes a 32 room hotel and 27,000 square foot retail office complex.
· This Resolution authorizes execution of a sixth amendment to Agreement for Retail Water and Sewer Service with the Village of Grayslake.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the County of Lake (County) owns and operates a water and
Sewer system which serves the Village of Grayslake (Village) area; and
WHEREAS, the County and the Village have entered into an Agreement for
Retail Water and Sewer Service dated April 9, 1985, which Agreement was last
amended on February 10, 2004; and
WHEREAS, the Village has annexed certain property known as the Glunz
Property which is located within the County’s service area; and
WHEREAS, the Village has requested that the County provide expanded retail
water and sewer service directly to the users within said property; and
WHEREAS, the County’s system has sufficient capacity to provide service to
the area as requested by the Village under the terms...
