R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Cedar Lake Road, County Highway 28, and Monaville Road, County Highway 55, are designated routes on the county highway system; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to 605 ILCS 5/5-105, the County Board, by resolution, may transfer road jurisdiction to another highway authority upon the approval of the Illinois Department of Transportation; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to 605 ILCS 5/5-410.1, the County Board, by the process established by law, may surrender jurisdiction over the right-of-way and improvements of all or part of a county highway, street or road to a municipality by agreement; and

WHEREAS, with this jurisdictional transfer, which shall be effective upon Illinois Department of Transportation approval, Lake County is removing the portion of Old Petite Lake Road from Illinois 83 westerly 348 feet, and from Belmora Park Boulevard westerly 1,675 feet...
