Approval of an Agreement with the Timberlake Civic Association in the amount of $158,497.34 for the Timber Lake Shoreline Stabilization Project, funded by a Nonpoint Source Implementation Program Grant (“Section 319 Grant”) through the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IL EPA), subject to final legal review.

 

Staff Summary

                     SMC has received an agreement from IL EPA for a grant (3192410) to implement the Timber Lake Shoreline Project in unincorporated Cuba Township.

                     The grant amount includes $158,497.34 to reimburse the local sponsor, Timberlake Civic Association, for costs associated with the Timber Lake Shoreline Stabilization Project.

                     Funding will support implementation of shoreline stabilization practices in and along Timber Lake.

                     SMC will administer the grant and Timberlake Civic Association will be the project manager responsible for project engineering, permitting, and construction.  Allowable costs up to $158,497.34 will be reimbursed by Illinois EPA. Required match will be provided by the local project partner, the Timberlake Civic Association.
