· A safety enhancement of the North Shore Bike Path at Butterfield Road is to realign a short section of the bike path to direct users to the marked cross walk.
· Work is to be completed by Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) day labor crews.
· Before materials can be purchased, an appropriation of funds is needed.
· This appropriation is $30,000 of Matching Tax funds.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, annually undertakes various highway and bike path improvement projects; and
WHEREAS, as part of these improvement projects, a safety enhancement of a portion of the North Shore Bike Path at Butterfield Road shall be realigned to direct path users to the marked cross walk; and
WHEREAS, these improvements will be completed by LCDOT day labor crews and materials will need to be purchased in order to complete the work.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $30,000 of Matching Tax funds, for the purchase of materials to complete the safety enhancement of a portion of the North Shore Bike Path at Butterfield Road, and designated as Section 13-00000-19-GM.
