· Harris Road (County Highway 48), Jurisdictional Transfer of Three Sections: Village of Libertyville to Lake County
· The three sections are: from 276 ft. southwest of IL Route 137 southerly 759 ft., from 1,210 ft. south of IL Route 137 southerly 1,195 ft., and from 4,175.7 ft. north of Peterson Road northerly 244.3 ft.
· This jurisdictional transfer is needed to complete the extension of Midlothian Road from Peterson Road northerly and northeasterly to IL Route 137.

WHEREAS, the free flow of traffic along Midlothian Road (County Highway 48) is beneficial for the safety and welfare of the State of Illinois, Lake County, and the Village of Libertyville; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Midlothian Road could be extended from its existing northerly terminus at the entrance to the Lake County Fairgrounds northerly to align with existing Harris Road; and
WHEREAS, in order to provide for the aforesaid improvement, Lake County needs jurisdictional control of said roadway; and
WHEREAS, Lake County and the Village of Libertyville are desirous of entering into an agreement for the jurisdictional transfer of the following sections of Harris Road currently under the Village of Libertyville’s jurisdiction: 1) from 276 ft. southwest of IL Route 137 southerly 759 ft.; 2) from 1,210 ft. south of IL Route 137 southerly 1,195 ft.; and 3) from 4,175.7 ft. north of Peterson Road northerly 244.3 ft., a draft copy of which is attached hereto.
