• The Acceptable Use Policy provides a framework establishing appropriate practices and responsibilities for the use of County IT resources in order to protect proprietary, personal, privileged, and other sensitive data.
• Enterprise IT developed the policy ensuring alignment with best practices and County operations.
• This policy was developed using County Policy 1.1: Policy Making Framework, ensuring all County departments and stakeholders had opportunity to review and provide comment.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Acceptable Use Policy provides a framework establishing appropriate practices and responsibilities for the use of County IT resources in order to protect proprietary, personal, privileged, and other sensitive data; and
WHEREAS, Enterprise IT developed the policy ensuring alignment with best practices and County operations; and
WHEREAS, this policy was developed using County Policy 1.1: Policy Making Framework, ensuring all County departments and stakeholders had opportunity to review and provide comment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the attached Acceptable Use Policy document is hereby adopted and shall take effect immediately.
